This is Thin Privilege

(Please feel free to add content notes and trigger warnings) Cornell is hosting a weight loss competition.  Its hosted by the CU Wellness Program (of all things!), and it makes me want to scream. So, I engaged in a little creative vandalism, and I decided to give you guys a shout out.  You do amazing work and I think anyone who finds this event terrible/triggering/all of the above deserves some love and support (I include myself in that group of people, cuz seriously ugh).  The title is especially worthy of scorn, I think.  Thin privilege is not being told you’re making excuses for your natural body shape, and not being told that engaging in group shaming will be fun.  Cuz its not like people aren’t constantly trying to “motivate” fat folks into losing weight already. /sarcasm
