Thin privilege is not having to be shamed by your own workout regimen.  I love my workout, I follow it and enjoy it and how it makes me feel.  But what bothers me is when I read the booklet the first time.  One of her “secrets to success”, number 4, reads as follows:

  • As hard as it may seem to lose weight, it’s more stressful, depressing, frustrating, embarrassing, and even life-threatening to remain overweight.

I love my workout, but don’t need to read that.  I’ll stick to the rest of it, the stuff that makes sense.  Overweight doesn’t mean life-threatening.
